I am currently in the process of redesigning the front page veer.com interface. I'll create four different designs each based upon inspiration from four different media, print ad, movie, music, and painting.

For my movie, I picked 2001: A Space Oddysey. It's a really visual movie, so it will have a lot of opportunities to use the colors, shapes, and layout of scenes in the website interface.
For my music selection, I picked a song from Ochre titled Me and My Variflex. The music style is kind of old school orchestrated blips and bleeps, which can make a cool interface design that's kind of like pixel art. This youtube video is for a different song, but you get a sense of his style.

I chose this Matisse painting because I think it could make for a very cool interface where buttons and image holders have a paper cutout feel and some texture to them.

This is a really cool print ad for jeep. I'll probably incorporate the idea of blending colors into the interface for this one.
